Daniel Coxe was born in London, England, in 1673, and died in Burlington, New Jersey, in 1739. He is the eldest son of Dr. Daniel Coxe of London, who received an immense grant of land in the lower Mississippi valley from Charles II. Daniel Coxe lived in the American colonies from 1702 to 1716.
